Effective September 29, 2026Last updated October 9, 2026

Buddies: Meds & Health Routine Tracker is provided by Soft Signals Lab Inc., based in British Columbia, Canada.

1. Information you enter into Buddies

Depending on how you use the app, you may enter:

  • Medication names, doses, schedules, and reminder preferences.
  • Dose history (when you log a dose).
  • Profile details and app preferences.
  • Buddy selections, streaks, and progress information.

Medication information may reveal sensitive details about your health. You choose what to enter, and you do not need to include information beyond what you want to track.

2. Local storage

Your Buddies information is stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store your medication records or dose history on company servers.

Buddies does not offer accounts or cloud sync.

Your device's operating system may include app data in device backups, depending on your settings. These backups are managed by your device or backup provider, such as Apple or Google, under its own terms and privacy policy.

3. Information we receive when you contact us

If you contact us for support, feedback, or a privacy request, we receive the information you provide. This may include your email address, name, message, and any screenshots or attachments.

We use this information to respond, investigate problems, and manage your request. Please avoid sending medication details or other sensitive information unless necessary. You may redact screenshots before sending them.

4. Technical information

Apple or Google may provide us with app-store reports, such as download statistics and crash or performance information, depending on their services and your settings. They also handle information associated with downloading the app.

Buddies does not include third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting tools.

5. How information is used

Buddies uses information on your device to:

  • Display and organize your medications and schedules.
  • Schedule reminders you request.
  • Record dose history and show progress.
  • Provide Buddy interactions, streaks, and celebrations.
  • Remember your preferences.

We use information received through support channels to answer questions, address issues, and handle privacy requests.

We do not sell your personal information or use medication records for targeted advertising.

6. Notifications and permissions

Buddies requests notification permission to deliver reminders. You can change or disable this permission in your device settings. Notifications are the only device permission Buddies requests.

Depending on your notification settings, reminder content—including medication names—may appear on your lock screen or connected devices. You can control notification previews through your device settings.

7. Sharing information

We do not share your locally stored medication records with advertisers, employers, insurers, or healthcare providers.

Information you send us may be processed by service providers that help us operate support services, such as our email provider. We limit this processing to the purposes described in this policy.

We may disclose information we hold when required by applicable law or a valid legal process.

If you choose to share a screenshot or other app content outside Buddies, the recipient or service may retain and use it under its own practices.

8. Retention and deletion

Locally stored information remains on your device until you delete it or remove the app's data. Uninstalling the app generally removes its local data, but copies may remain in device backups. Backup deletion and restoration depend on your device and provider settings.

We retain support correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to resolve your request, maintain necessary records, or meet legal obligations. You can contact us to request deletion of information we hold, subject to applicable exceptions.

We cannot remotely access or delete information stored only on your device.

9. Security

We use reasonable safeguards appropriate to the personal information we handle. No device, storage system, or method of transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

You can help protect your information by keeping your device updated, using a device passcode, and reviewing your backup and notification settings.

10. Policy changes

We may update this policy as our practices or legal requirements change. We will update the date above and provide notice of material changes through an appropriate channel. Where new consent is required, we will request it.
